Laser Hair Removal
Tired of shaving, waxing, or tweezing? Laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the country.
How does this work?
An intense pulsating beam of light passes through the skin into the hair follicle, damaging the these follicles for future growth.
How long does this procedure take?
The Candela Laser can shoot in a fraction of a second, while having the circumference of the area hit roughly the size of a quarter. Areas such as lips or underarms can be treated in minutes, whereas a pair of full legs or back may take up to an hour.
Before treatment
Avoid plucking and waxing for six weeks, however, you do need to shave the area the night before your treatment. This helps all the laser’s energy focus on the root of the hair. If the hair root isn’t there, it can not be targeted. The Candela laser targets the hair follicle in order to damage it.
Also avoid sun exposure for six weeks not only before the treatment, but also after the treatment as well. Sun exposure can make the hair removal procedure less effective and can increase complications.
During Procedure:
The area undergoing treatment will be trimmed. Eye wear will be provided for eye protection. To protect the outer layers of skin gel may be applied (depending on type of laser). After treatment is completed lotion, creams, or cold water may be applied to ease any discomfort. Schedule your next treatment four to six weeks later.

Waxing
Waxing is a popular semi-permanent hair removal service provided by our team of waxing professionals. Waxing can be done on almost any area of the body and removes hair from the root. After waxing, hair generally doesn’t regrow for two to eight weeks.
About the Waxing Procedure
Waxing is done by thinly spreading the wax over the skin and applying a paper or cloth strip on top of the wax. The strip is then pulled away from the skin opposite the direction of hair growth which removes the wax and hair.
While there are many at-home kits for self-waxing, an experienced esthetician can perform the waxing procedure with less risk of bruising, ingrown hairs, and discomfort.
Waxing Benefits
Waxing provides many benefits that other forms of hair removal may not offer. Waxing allows an individual to remove large areas of hair at one time and can keep those areas hair-free for two to eight weeks. Each time a person receives a waxing treatment the hair will regrow softer than before and will not grow back as rough stubble (when compared to shaving).
