What is Botox?
Botulinum toxin or Botox, is a neurotoxin and protein that is produced by bacterium clostridium botulinum which come from microorganisms.

What is Botox used for?
The best known use for Botox are injections for wrinkle prevention. Botox injections will temporarily paralyze the muscle activity in the area injected. Although, wrinkle prevention is the most widely known use for Botox, their are other known uses such as: reduce excessive sweating(hyperhidrosis), neck spasms, overactive bladder, and prevent migraines.

How long does Botox last?
The longevity of a Botox treatment is different for everyone depending on the muscle strength of the area undergoing the injection. The more prominent the muscle is the shorter the life span of the treatment. The average patient will return for a second treatment after 3-4 months.

Botox Side Effects
Like any procedure or drug their are side effects. You should always consult with your nurse or doctor before undergoing Botox injections.
